GARDENSTATEHOOPS/MYPLAY PASSAIC COUNTY PLAYER OF YEAR!

002The Gardenstatehoops/MyPlay Passaic County Player Of the Year is shared by two players!

Hawthorne guard T.J. Palmer(right) and Kennedy Forward Avant’e Gilbert(far right) share the award! Hawthorne’s Palmer was the toughest guard in Passaic County this Season and that’s saying a lot with the likes of Wayne001 Hills Jake Belli, Wayne Valley’s Mark Howell and Clifton’s Armani Brinson who all had outstanding years! Palmer averaged over 20 points a game, including 41 in his last highschool contest, losing to Mountain Lakes and scoring in double figures in all but two games! There was no more a go to player in the area than Palmer and his intensity was unmatched on the court! Kennedy was a talented squad, but it was no doubt who their key player was in Senior forward Avant’e Gilbert! The most athletic player in the area, Gilbert was a walking double-double as he averaged 15 and 11 for the year, not to mention 5 blocks per contest! Gilbert had five games where he had a triple double in points, rebounds and blocked shots including a 20-10-10 game against Bergen Tech and an 18-14-12 game against Passaic County Tech! Gardenstatehoops and MyPlayVideo Solution would like to congratulate these two players on outstanding years!
