GARFIELD COMES FROM BEHIND FOR 59-55 WIN!

Garfield,N.J….. Garfield trailed 29-19 at the half, but rallied behind the play of Sophomore Darko Petroski to pull off a 59-55 win! Petroski scored 14 of his game high 18 points in the second half to spur the comeback! He also got help from his bench as Senior Anthony Barksdale scored 10 points and Junior Raquan Dickson added 8 points in reserve! Fort Lee seemed in control of the game as Senior Mohamed Abdelhamid and Freshman Huasly Parades-Garcia led the way! The game went back and forth in the 4th quarter but free throws by Petroski gave Garfield the lead for good! Abdelhamid led Fort Lee with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals while Senior James Connelly and Sophomore Keneal Arias added 8 points apiece! Parades-Garcia showed nice potential in the game for a young player and seems to have a bright future! Garfield got a good effort from Senior point guard Aveon Irving who was a bundle of energy as he scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, had 4 assists and 4 steals!
