GROUP 4 NORTH FINAL: LINDEN FIGHTS OFF BLOOMFIELD 56-50!

Dunn Center Elizabeth, N.J…..Bloomfield represented itself well and  pushed Linden to the max! But in the end, Linden held on to capture the Group 4 North Championship!

Junior Tavon Jones(pictured) scored 21 points, including his 1,000th career point to lead Linden to a 56-50 win! Senior Khalief Crawford added 15 points, Junior Mikey Watkins chipped in 9 points and Junior Marcellus Livingston finished with 8 points! Bloomfield trailed most of the contest but stayed close enough to cut the lead to 51-48 on 2 of 3 free throws from Senior Kyle Barrow with 58 seconds left in the game! Crawford’s 2 free throws and Livingston and Jones 1 free throw apiece down the stretch helped pull it out! Senior Myles Toppin led Bloomfield with 13 points and Junior Francis Lorenzo hit 4″triples” for 12! All 7 Bloomfield players that played scored! Linden will now face Shawnee for the Group 4 State Championship Sunday at Rutgers!
