HARRIS LAYUP GIVES GLEN ROCK 44-43 WIN OVER MANCHESTER!

Haledon, N.J…… In a close contest, Glen Rock lost a lead late, but overcame it on a layup from Senior Ryan Harris in a 44-43 win over Manchester!

Glen Rock came into the contest at 6-1 and Manchester came in at 7-1! The game was close throughout as Glen Rock held a slim lead through most of it! With 6:43 left in the 4th quarter Freshman Asim Jones short jumper tied the game at 30 for the first time and after going back and forth Junior Jamal Deloach gave Manchester it’s first lead at 35-34 with 4:05 and Junior Nasir Johnson’s layup made it 37-34! Glen Rock fought back and eventually tied the score at 41 on a put back by Sophomore Will McLoughlin!  Down 43-42 on a layup from Johnson, Glen Rock got it’s heroics from Harris as he made a tough layup with 17 seconds that proved to be the deciding bucket! Manchester had a chance to tie or win it but missed two free throws at the end of the game! Harris(far right) led Glen Rock with 13 points, while McLoughlin(right) finished with a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Senior Zach Golin added 10 points! Johnson led Manchester with 14 points and 3 steals, while Freshman Jashair Rosa finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals! Jones finished with 9!
