HEARTS 2 HANDS SHOWCASE: GILL ST BERNARD, ROSELLE CATHOLIC, ST. JOSEPH(MET.), ST. MARY’S(ELIZ.) AND ST. BENEDICTS WIN!

 The Hearts 2 Hand charitable event which donates to Cancer had 5  high level Highschool Showcase games which saw Gill St. Bernard, Roselle Catholic, St. Joseph(Met), St.Mary’s(Eliz) and St.Benedicts get wins!

                                                                      Gill St. Bernard  62    Ranney   60

Senior Connor Murphy(pictured) scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds and Rutgers commit Paul Mulcahy added 13 points and dished out 7 assists to lead Gill St.Bernard to a stunning 62-60 win over  #1 in the State Ranney! Gill took a 15-6 lead in the 1st quarter and led the entire way, despite desperate comebacks from Ranney, including finally tying the game late at 60 on a layup by Senior Ahmad Sarnor! Mulcahy made two free throws late which proved to be the game winner as Ranny missed a front end of a one and one! Florida commit Bryan Antoine led Ranney with 18 points, Senior Alex Klatsky added 12 points on 4″triples”,Sarnor chipped in 10 points and Bryan Antoine finished with 9 points!

 

                                                                                 Roselle Catholic  97    Camden  66

Kentucky commit Kahlil Whitney and UNLV commit Josh Pierre-Louis combined for 61 points as Roselle Catholic manhandled Camden 97-66! Pierre-Louis(right) scored 18 1st half points on his way to 30 with 6 assists and Whitney(far right) added 17 points on his way to a 31 point effort along with 11 rebounds! Junior Cliff Omuroyi finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots! Camden Senior Ethan Tarte led Camden with 20 points!

 

 

 

                                                           St. Joseph(Met.) 56      St. Peters Prep  54   OT

Senior Howard McBurnie(right) made two free throws in overtime to give St.Joseph a 56-54 win! McBurnie finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds! Junior Tyree Ford and Senior Matt Cruz each scored 12 points and Junior K-Shawn Schulters chipped in 10 points for St.Joe’s! Freshman Mark Armstrong led Prep with 25 points, Sophomore Ray ford added 10 points and Junior Will White finished with 9 points and 6 assists!

Senior Izaiah Delbrune-Robinson(right) scored 21 points, Senior Dion Herrington finished with 14 points and Senior Kyle McGee(far right) added 10 points with 8 assists to lead St.Mary(Eliz) to a 74-58 win over Newark Westside! Junior Phil Brown added 12 points for Mary’s who were trailing after the 1st quarter 14-12! Senior Tyjon Huntley led West Side with 18 points, while Senior Dashawn Latham added 10 points!

Senior Aaron Estrada led Benedicts with 19 points, Junior Zarique Nutter(far right) scored 16 points and  Junior CJ Wilcher(right) added 14 points as Benedicts defeated Nazareth of New York 86-53! New York was led by Tyreek Morris Jr. with 16 points!
