HOOP GROUP SHOWCASE– DAY TWO: HUDSON CATHOLIC, RUTGERS PREP, ST.BENEDICT’S AND BLAIR WIN!

Caldwell University Caldwell, N.J…….Day two of the Hoop Group Tip-Off Showcase saw Hudson Catholic, Rutgers Prep, St. Benedict’s and Blair come away with victories!

 

                                                                                HUDSON CATHOLIC  82    POPE JOHN  55

Hudson Catholic put on an outstanding display of Highschool basketball in the 1st quarter and went on to beat Pope John 82-55! Behind Oregon commit Lou King, Hudson Catholic ran through Pope John in the opening quarter as they took a 25-3 lead and never looked back in winning 82-55! King(top) scored on an array of ways, knocking down “triples”and throwing down alley-oops! He finished with 19 points and 6 rebounds! Ohio St. commit Luther Muhammad added 14 points and Senior Shackylle DeZonie chipped in 11 points as 12 players scored for the Hawks! Aaron Clarke(right) led Pope John, who were missing players including U. Mass commit Samba Diallo with 26 points! Junior Eddie Davis added 13 points with 3 steals!

 

 

                                                                                         RUTGERS PREP  68     UNION CATHOLIC  65

Down 53-40 after the 3rd quarter, Rutgers Prep came all the way back to defeat Union Catholic 68-65!Prep had five players scored in double figures led by Junior Nashon Battle’s(far right) 17 points! Senior Nate Lyles  and Junior Jonah Charles scored 14 points apiece, Sophomore Richie Greaves added 11 points and Freshman Trey Patterson chipped in 10 points, including a steal and dunk that gave Prep it’s first lead of the 4th quarter! Junior Jaheim Tanksley led Union Catholic with 16 points, senior Rob Miller added 15 points and Senior Ibn Lynn(near right) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds!

Junior Lester Quinones(far right) scored 22 points as St. Benedict’s beat Our Saviour New American 63-52! Junior Precious Achiuwa added 11 points and 6 rebounds! Junior Clarence Nadolny(near right) led Our Saviour with 14 points!

Junior Keenan Worthington(far right) scored 14 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to lead Blair to a 69-50! Senior Gabriel Ravetz also scored 14 points for Blair! Junior Josh Cohen(near right)
