HOOPS FOR TROOPS SHOWCASE: ST.BENEDICTS, ST.MARY’S(ELIZABETH) AND ROSELLE CATHOLIC WIN!

Roselle Catholic Roselle,N.J…. Gardenstatehoops made it to the last three contests of the Hoops 4 Troops Showcase and saw St. Benedict’s, St.Mary’s-Elizabeth and Roselle Catholic come away with victories!

                                                              ST.BENEDICT’S  76   OUR SAVIOUR LUTERAN  51

Senior James Scott scored 28 points and Junior David Beatty added 22 points to lead St.Benedict’s to a 76-51 win over Our Saviour Lutheran! Scott scored his 1,000th career point early in the game(pictured)! Senior Arnoldo Toro added 11 points and 8 rebounds and Junior Bourama Sidibe chipped in 10 points with 14 rebounds and 6 blocked shots! Our Saviour Lutheran was led by Freshman Precious Achiuwa with 15 points!

 

 

                             ST,MARY’S-ELIZABETH  56     PARAMUS CATHOLIC  37

Senior Rickeem Mixson(pictured) scored 22 points and Senior William Sessoms scored 18 points and pulled down 7 rebounds to lead St.Mary’s to a 56-37 win over Paramus Catholic! Senior Landon Gaines led P.C. with 22 points, including 5 “triples” and Senior E.J. Anosike added 10 points pulled down 8 rebounds for Paramus Catholic!

Sophomore Nazeron Reid scored 17 points and pulled down 6 rebounds,  Junior Nathaniel Pierre-Louis scored 11 points,dished out 5 dimes and had 4 steals and Senior Matt Bullock  scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as Roselle Catholic dismantled Raritan 75-48! RC led at the end of the 1st 21-12 and never looked back! Before the contest Pierre-Louis(pictured) was honored for scoring his 1,00th point the game before! Senior Eddie Tynion scored 19 points and Senior Jordan Smith added 11 points for Raritan!
