JINGLE BELLS RESULTS: HACKENSACK, TEANECK, KENNEDY AND RAMAPO ADVANCE TO SEMIS!

019Don Bosco Prep Academy Paterson, N.J….. The Jingle Bells Jubilee Holiday Tournament took place and had Hackensack, Teaneck, Kennedy and Ramapo advance to the Semi-finals!                                                                                  HACKENSACK 70      WAYNE HILLS  64

Senior B.J. Saliba(top right) scored 32 points and Senior Razeyah Surrell(right) scored the go ahead bucket and finished t020he game with a steal as Hackensack held on to defeat Wayne Hills 70-66! The entertaining contest was all tied at 51 going into the 4th quarter! Senior Toren Portee layup tied the game at 61! Hackensack went up 65-61 when Junior Jake Belli got a bucket plus a foul to make it 65-64! Senior Joey Belli tied it at 66, when a perfect give and go resulted in a Surrell layup to make what proved to be the game winning bucket! Surrell then made an inbounds steal to ice the game! Saliba scored 18 of his 32 points in the first half on an assortment of drives and pullups! Surrell finished with 14 points, while Portee and Youngstown St. commit Atiba Taylor each chipped in 9 points with Portee adding 5 assists and Taylor finishing with 7 dimes! Joey Belli and Senior Jason Modak led Wayne Hills’s with 15 points and Senior Justin Wills added 14 points!

                                                                           TEANECK 97       PATERSON EASTSIDE 69022

Senior Ja’Quaye James(far right) scored 34 points and dished out 7 assists to lead Teaneck to a 97-69 win over Paterson Eastside! Senior Nadame Tucker(right) scored 20 points with 8 rebounds, Senior Aaro023n Sanchez scored 17 points and Senior Sage Robinson added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Teaneck as they scored 31 points in the 3rd quarter to turn a 41-30 game into a 72-47 lead! Senior Lamar Johnson led Eastside with 24 points and Senior Yoheily Ortiz finished with 17 points! Teaneck will meet Hackensack tomorrow at 4:30pm!  

                                                                         PATERSON KENNEDY  79      POPE JOHN  64

Kennedy outscored Pope John 30-10 in the 3rd quarter to turn a 33-31 halftime deficit into a 61-43 lead and went on to a 79-64 win! Junior Avant’e Gilbert(right) led Kennedy with 18 points and 9 rebounds! Senior Jaylen Colon, Senior Jamir Lattimore and Sophomore Jalen Hargrove all finished with 9 points for 018Kennedy! Colon added 7 dimes and 5 steals to his stat sheet, while Lattimore added 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals! Sacred Heart commit Aaron Clarke led Pope John with 16 points, while Junior Eddie Davis added 15 points and Freshman DiAndre South finished with 12 points!

                                                                                          RAMAPO  64     RUTGERS PREP 49

Junior K.C. Hunt(far right) scored 25 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead Ramapo to a surprisingly easy win over Rutgers Prep 64-49! Senior John Whooley(right) scored 20 points and had a trifecta as he scored buckets with n013o seconds on the clock in three quarters! He hit a “triple” a foot in front of half court to end the 1st, made a layup to end the half, then made another layup to end the 3rd quarter! Senior Jason Oppler finished with 7 assists for Ramapo! Rutgers Prep was led by Junior Nashon Battle with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Freshman Trey Patterson with 10 points and 7 rebounds! Ramapo will play Kennedy in the s014econd Semi-finals at 3:00pm!
