JOHNSON’S 32 LIFTS EASTSIDE OVER KENNEDY 69-54!!

Kennedy H.S. Paterson, NJ… Eastside showed what teams will be dealing with for this upcoming season in their 69-54 win over Kennedy. Junior Asem Johnson(right) was spectacular scoring 32 points. He scored from inside and out and pushed home at least five dunks. Then Kennedy had to deal with 6’6 Shakur Juiston(left)! The Junior was in foul trouble in the 1st half, so he came out in the 2nd half and stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points,9 rebounds,6 assists,2 blocked shots and a steal. 6’6 Junior Marquel Sheffield finished with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Eastside’s size was a problem for Kennedy who play three 5’8 players and no one over 6’2 an despite a good effort that proved to be the difference in the game. Kennedy was led by Sophomore Alphonso Gee with 21 points, while Junior Aalim jones chipped in 11 points and Junior Jaloni Morris added 10 points. Eastside 5’3 Freshman Nhazir Smith debut was solid in his first Highschool effort. While he didn’t score, he had 5 assists and 3 steals and showed alot of poise in the contest..
