KENNEDY SHAKES OFF EASTSIDE 55-51!

Eastside H.S. Paterson,N.J…. Kennedy finally overcame a deficit in the second half and withstand a game Eastside team to come away with a 55-51 win!

Eastside held a slim lead the entire 1st half 28-25, but Senior Avante’Gilbert’s two free throws with 6:53 left in the 3rd quarter gave Kennedy it’s first lead of the game 29-28! Kennedy got a huge contribution from Senior De’Journ Cook(far right) as he had 8 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks off the bench, including a layup with 54 seconds in the game that made it 54-49! Gilbert(right) led the Knights with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Senior Germir Robinson added 11 points with 3 “triples”! Senior Kentrell Hodges led Eastside with 15 points on 5″triples” and Senior Michael Saldivar- Cruz finished with 10 points! Eastside also got outstanding play from Freshman Cozjier Harmon who finished with 9 points, 4 assists and 2 steals! Looks like a promising future for the 5’8 guard!
