KENNEDY SURVIVES RIDGEWOOD IN O.T. 74-67!

Ridgewood,N.J….. In a thrilling contest, Kennedy lost a 7 point lead in the 4th quarter, then managed to tie it and send it to overtime and pull out a 74-67 win over Ridgewood!

Senior Avant’e Gilbert(far right) was a stud throughout as he finished the contest with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks, but he needed help against a game Ridgewood squad and got it! Ridgewood overcame a 7 point deficit to start the 4th quarter and took a 61-58 lead with 15 seconds left on a layup by Junior Matt Favieri! Kennedy got it’s first heroics when Senior Germir Robinson(near right) who finished the contest with 17 points, including 5″triples” knocked down a clean one with 3 seconds left off a feed from Senior Joshuel White that sent the game into overtime at 61 all! The overtime was all they needed as the Knights outscored the Maroons 13-6 behind Sophomore Jae’Waun Abrams(middle) who scored all 9 of his points in the extra session! Senior Jahmir Tyrell added 14 points for Kennedy! Ridgewood was led by Junior Devin Johnson who scored 20 points, including 5″triples” himself, Senior Ben Geraghty scored 13 points with 10 rebounds and Senior Davis Oscher with 10 points!
