Kennedy Basketball has always been a respected program throughout the State of New Jersey! But the team is now committed to take the program to an elite level! Thanks to the help of Paterson’s finest, Tim Thomas!

J.F.K. is on the verge of becoming the new Paterson Catholic as arguably the greatest basketball player to ever come out of the area and  13 year N.B.A. Star will be the new skills and development Coach as well as mentor to the most talented basketball players from the City Of Paterson that will be attending J.F.K. to further their basketball careers! Kennedy will target the top Paterson kids as Thomas is committed to giving the knowledge he has obtained through his years of playing on the highest level as from the time he was a #7 pick in the 1st round of the N.B.A. draft in 1997 to his retirement in 2010! Kennedy Coach Tommy Patterson is ecstatic about the situation! ” Tim has worked hard and never gave up hope on the city of Paterson. his knowledge and experience is a blessing to our program. I only played HS basketball and D3 in College so to have someone else like James Hargrove( D1), Sydir Mitchell(D2) and Tony Murphy(D1) when he was here it makes perfect sense to have Tim come in and help whenever he wants! He played at the highest level and I would do my team a disservice if I didn’t allow him to help! Im so excited about this and not to cut this season short, but I can’t wait to gain more next level knowledge from him and apply it to our team this year moving forward into the County Tournament and States!” The emergence of Thomas back into the Paterson basketball landscape cannot be anything but a positive for this community!
