MONDAY FALLBALL RESULTS: KENNEDY, CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY, ST. PETERS PREP AND DEPAUL

 Kennedy HS, Paterson, NJ…. The second week of Monday’s Fallball League sponsored by the Playaz Basketball Club and  Paterson  Board Of Recreation had wins by Kennedy, Christian Brothers Academy, St. Peters Prep and DePaul! Kennedy went up against Pope John of Sparta in an entertaining game which featured Kennedy’s four guard offense, against Pope’s main weapon, Junior Moustapha Diagne, the #26 ranked player by Rivals for 2015! Diagne was a problem for Kennedy as he scored 18 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked 3 shots, but Kennedy’s guards which consist of Junior’s Aalim Jones, Jalani Morris, Javon Rawls and Sophomore Alphonso Gee(top right) hustled around the court and caused enough problems on the defensive end to pull off a 44-39 win! Gee led the scoring with 16 points, while Rawls added 12! Jones made the biggest shot of the game, scoring on a runner over the outstretched hand of  the 6’8 Diagne to give them a 41-39 lead! CBA won their game over Newark Tech 55-50 as Senior Chima Ekekeugbor(bottom right) scored 14 points along with Sophomore Patrick Andree! Ekekeugbor’s tough layup over Tech defender’s was the key bucket in the game! Sophomore Mustafa Lawrence led Tech scoring with 15 points! St. Peter’s Prep had to overcome a deficit early against Bergen Catholic! Senior Austin White(top left) scored 18 points as did Sophomore Armaveer Singh as for the second week in a row they combined for 36 points and outlasted Bergen Catholic 55-51! B.C. was led by the strong play of Sophomore point guard Gilberto Cue who scored 18 points, including 4″triples” in the game! Senior Nadi Beciri added 15 points for Bergen Catholic! Sophomore Najaa Hunter added 12 points for Prep! Senior Juwaun Carter(bottom left) took complete control in his team’s win over North 13th St! Carter scored 30 points,taking over after his team started off slow! They went on to a 60-40 win! Junior Spencer Smith scored 15 points and Junior Debon Bright added 11 for DePaul! North 13th St. was led by  Junior Shakur Dill-Pettiford with 19 points! Wednesday’s Fallball action pits St. Anthony vs. St. Benedict’s, Teaneck vs. Newark Eastside, Gill St. Bernards vs Roselle Catholic and Eastside vs Hudson Catholic!
