NON-PUBLIC B “CHIP”: BRISCOE BIG 4TH LEADS ROSELLE CATHOLIC TO A 60-57 WIN OVER ST.ANTHONY AND TRIP TO TOC!

Toms River,NJ…. Junior Isaiah Briscoe scored 12 points in the 4th quarter to lead Roselle Catholic to a 60-57 win over St.Anthony for the Non-Public B Championship! Trailing 50-47 Sophomore Matt Bullock hit a”triple” to tie the game! That’s when Briscoe took over getting a layup and a foul on a georgeous reverse to give Roselle Catholic a 53-50 lead with 3:12 left! After St. Anthony Sophomore Jagan Mosely’s bucket cut the lead to 53-52 Briscoe made a short jumper to give Roselle Catholic a 55-52 lead! Senior Tarin Smith’s two free throws made it 55-54, Bullock’s free throw put the score at 56-54! A missed shot by St. Anthony’s was rebounded by Briscoe who knocked down two free throws to make it 58-54 and hit a couple more to push the lead to 60-54! a “triple” at the buzzer by Junior Markis McDuffie finished the scoring and Roselle Catholic had their second straight Non-Public B title! Briscoe finished with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals! Bullock who scored the other 7 points for Roselle Catholic in the final quarter finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds! Sophomore Asante Gist added 11 points! McDuffie led St.Anthony with 21 points, while Mosely scored all 14 of his points in the 2nd half including a spectacular follow dunk in the 3rd quarter to ignite the Friars!
