NORTH 1 GROUP 2 FINAL: MOUNTAIN LAKES DEFEATS RAMSEY 40-31 IN O.T.!

Ramsey, N.J…. In a slow paced game that went into overtime Mountain Lakes outlasted Ramsey 40-31 to win the North 1 Group 2 Championship!

Mountain Lakes outscored Ramsey 12-3 in the overtime to pull off the win! Senior Jack Baker(picture) scored 16 points to lead Mountain Lakes with 6 of his points coming in the extra session! Baker started the scoring in the overtime and after a bucket from Ramsey’s Sean Hansen they outscored Ramsey 10-1 to finish the contest! Ramsey seemed to take control as they took the lead on a”triple” from Junior Jaden Quinerly and another bucket from him to make the score 26-21! Quinerly then fouled out with 5:22 left in the game and Mountain Lakes made it’s comeback tying the score at 28 to send the game into overtime! Quinerly and Hansen finished with 9 points for Ramsey! Sophomore Spencer Myler scored 7 points, including 5-6 from foulline with 9 rebounds for Mountain Lakes who will face North 2 Group 2 Champ Westside !
