NORTH 1 GROUP 2 SECTIONAL “CHIP”: MORALES 43 LEADS MANCHESTER TO A 92-90 O.T. WIN OVER RAMSEY!

Ramsey,N.J……In an exciting high action contest, Manchester went into Ramsey and came out of the hostile environment with an overtime win 92-90 to capture the North 1 Group 2 Sectional title! Junior Alex Morales(pictured) had the game of a lifetime as he led Manchester to victory! The 6’6 wing scored 43 points, pulled down 25 rebounds, blocked 8 shots and dished out 6 assists in an all-around impressive performance! Ramsey led 40-32 at the half as Junior Joey Carroll, Junior Mike Cirilli, Senior Pat Mullane and Senior Mike Pepper kept the pressure on with their outstanding shooting! Morales and company would not go away as they outscored Ramsey 26-15 in the 3rd to take a 58-55 lead! This time Ramsey came back to send the game into overtime! Morales free throws gave Manchester a 91-86 lead with 17 seconds left and they held on to get the win! Senior Brad Gaffney scored 21 points and 10 rebounds for Manchester and Senior Robert Williams added 15 points and 6 assists! Carroll led Ramsey with 26 points, while Cirilli and Mullane added 20 points and Pepper finished with 16!  Manchester will now face Newark Tech Thursday at Bloomfield H.S. at 6pm!
