NORTH 1 GROUP 3 STATES: WAYNE VALLEY DEFEATS PASCACK VALLEY 77-61!

Wayne,N.J….Senior Kyle Greve scored 30 points and Junior Nick Goodwin added 18 points as Wayne Valley will advance in the North 1 Group 3 State basketball playoffs! Wayne Valley led the entire way as Greve(right) and Goodwin combined for 22 points in the 1st half to take a 37-24 lead! The unsung hero for Wayne Valley had to be Andrew Popadics(left)! The Senior scored 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds and his activity around the rim gave his squad numerous second chance opportunities! Pascack Valley came out fast in the 3rd quarter as Junior Eric Ziccarelli and Junior Colin Dedrick led the way! They had the lead down to 47-40 late in the quarter, but Wayne Valley went on a 8-2 run to end the stanza and go back up double figures 55-42! Ziccarelli led Pascack Valley with 24 points, while Dedrick finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists! Wayne Valley will face the winner of West Milford and River Dell Thursday!
