NORTH 1 GROUP 4 STATE SCORE:(#9) HACKENSACK DEFEATS (#1) CLIFTON 74-64!

Clifton, N.J……#9 Seed Hackensack came from behind to upset #1 Seed Clifton 74-64!

Hackensack trailed by as much as 13 in the 3rd quarter but came back to take a 48-44 lead to start the 4th! Junior Seth Brown(#0) led the Comets with 23 points and Junior Kevin Mateo(#11) added 17 points! Sophomore Neftali Valentin scored 15 huge points for Hackensack during their run! Senior Lazor Jovanovich scored 21 points and Senior Armani Brinson added 16 for Clifton!

 

 

Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Highschool career’s of Clifton’s Seniors! Armani Brinson(right), Lazor Jovanovich(far right), Ian Felix(3rd right), Wendell Abellard(2nd right), Jeremy Bermudez, Jhamir Harrison, Justin Mendez, Justin Severino and Adam Bertan have left a legacy to be proud of! They played well enough this year to be the #1 seed in North 1 Group 4 as well as reach the Passaic County finals for the first time since 1974! These players have a lot to be proud of and Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate them on a tremendous Season!
