NORTH JERSEY HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT: DEPAUL DEFEATS HACKENSACK IN FRESHMAN “CHIP”!

DePaul H.S Wayne, N.J….. Gardenstatehoops caught The New Jersey Holiday Tournament Freshman Championship at DePaul Catholic and saw DePaul defeat Hackensack 68-55!

A’Koury Lyde(pictured) scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds and Shakur Muckle added 17 points, 4 steals and 4 steals to lead the Spartans past the Comets! DePaul led the entire way and withstood a couple late game runs from Hackensack! Fonso Lombardi also played well for DePaul as he scored 14 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists! The Comets were led by John Judkins with 11 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds! Jayden Wimberly came off the bench to give Hackensack a lift as he scored 9 points, pulled down 4 offensive rebounds and dished out 3 assists! Keyshawn Powell also scored 9 points with 8 rebounds for Hackensack! Lyde was chosen Player Of The Game!
