NORTH JERSEY SEC 1 GROUP 4 STATES: #10 MORRIS KNOLLS SHOCKS # 7 PASSAIC COUNTY TECH 65-58!

005Wayne,N.J……Passaic Tech had a lead and control for most of the game but they continued to give Morris Knolls a chance! It eventually cost Tech the contest as Knolls would not quit and outscored them 23 to 9 in the 4th to pull off a 65-58 win!

Morris Knoll’s had to deal with the tremendous play of Tech Senior Eric Johnson-Alford! Johnson-Alford scored 30 points with 14 rebounds and 7 dunks as he put on a show for most of the game! His dunk f004rom a pass by Yohanly Ortiz gave Tech a 58-55 lead! But Morris Knolls fought back and took the lead on a layup from Senior Luke Urbanik(right) to make it 59-58! Senior Hunter Kaldy(bottom right) went 12-12 from the free throw line,including the last 6 of the game! Senior Michael Chapman led Knolls with 20 points and Urbanik finished with 17! Kaldy added 14 points and 10 rebounds! Junior Nick Vittorio scored 15 points for Morris Knolls! Junior Julian Briggs scored 11 points for Tech, while Ortiz added 10 assists!

Farewell Notes: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the Highschool careers of Passaic County Tech Seniors Xavier Hilbert, Eric Johnson-Alford and Yohanly Ortiz! Xavier(right) has had a nice career and has the potential to play at the next level because he can stroke the rock! Eric(left) has Division 1 talent and the sky is the limit as he is just touching the surface of his talent! He has a big upside and whoever gets him will find in the next 4 years they got a steal! Yohanly is family to this site! Having known him since he was 8 years old it has been a pleasure to watch him become a respectable young man with great character on and off the court! Yohanly(bottom right) has had a great PCT career and what’s even better is this is his second best sport! The kid is a phenomenal talent on the baseball field! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate X013012avier, Eric, Yohanly and their families on their scholastic careers and  hope for nothing but the best in the future!
