NORTH JERSEY SEC 1 GROUP 4 STATES:#5 MORRISTOWN BEATS #11 KENNEDY 59-46!
Morristown,N.J…. Junior Kevin Hoehn(right) scored 18 points to lead Morristown to a 59-46 win over Kennedy!
The game was much closer than the final score as Morristown led 34-30 to end the 3rd quarter! The 4th quarter was wild as it consisted of technical fouls and questionable calls! Morristown outscored Kennedy 25-16 in the stanza! Senior Jordan Rodriguez led Kennedy with 16 points and Senior Alphonso Gee finished with 11! Junior Josh Szott scored 13 points and Senior Rohan Walker added 9 and 6 rebounds for Morristown who will be playing Mount Olive in the next round!
FAREWELL NOTES: Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the departing Seniors from Kennedy! Jacier Flood, Devine Lewis, Raekwon Alexander, Douglas Harrison, Brian Patterson, Tymere McMillan, Jordan Rodriguez and Alphonso(Chops) Gee all played their last game for the Knights! Gardenstatehoops has covered these players since the moment they walked on the court as Kennedy basketball players and has watched the growth they have shown, not only as players, but young men! While all may not be playing at the next level they have done a good job of representing their school! Alexander, McMillan, Rodriguez and Gee are all capable of finding a place at the next level! McMillan(far right) already has schools interested and he has point guard qualities and is a high level defender! Rodriguez(right) is family to this site as he has had a relationship since a young child! Jordan has the talent to play at the next level! He has all the tools and it is the belief that he will find a place to continue his basketball journey! Gee(near right) has had a remarkable Highschool career as he has become a 2,000 point scorer and a 1st team All-County player his entire career and has Division 1 interest! Chop’s also is close with the site and with his personality and character he will be a success! On and off the court! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate these players and their families on their Highschool career’s and the hope that they all reach their goals!
