Kean University,Union…….The ScholarshipFund For Inner-City Children Basketball Festival played at Kean University pitted some of the State’s best teams! In the end St. Patrick’s, St. Anthony, Seton Hall Prep and St. Peters Prep were victorious!

 

 

                     Seton Hall Prep 63       Hudson Catholic 53

 

Junior Stephon Mosley scored 26 points and Maryland bound Sterling Gibbs(pictured) scored 20 in a 63-53 Seton Hall Prep win over Hudson Catholic! Junior Dallas Anglin added 6 assists in the contest! Sophomore Reggie Cameron led Hudson Catholic with 16 points and Sophomore Kavon Stewart finished with 12!  

 

 

                           St. Patricks 73         St. Benedicts 65

 

       Senior Michael Gilchrist, considered the top player in the country in some publications and Kentucky University commit led St. Patricks with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while point guard Chris Martin added 20 on 5 “triples”in an exciting 73-65 win over St. Benedicts! Senior Tyler harris, a N.C. State commit led St. Benedicts with 25 points!

Kennedy And P.C.T. Win, Passaic Valley Loses In North New Jersey Challenge!

Little Falls…… In the Passaic County vs. North New Jersey Challenge, Kennedy and Passaic County Tech got wins, while Passaic Valley lost a heartbreaker that went to the end!

 

 

                            Kennedy 76                 Don Bosco Prep 71

 

       Kennedy came back from a 10-0 deficit to start the game and beat Don Bosco Prep 76-71 behind the outstanding play of Senior guards Jhamir White and Dawon Lighty! The two combined for 41 points and gave Prep fits throughout! White(far right) had 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists while Lighty(right) finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists! Kennedy turned the game into its pace and forced Prep to go more up tempo than it likes! Junior Sammy Singletary added 13 points for Kennedy and Senior Kaheem Davis scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds! Don Bosco Prep was led by Junior guard Jemal Mosley with 19 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds! Leonte Carroo added 13 points and 11 rebounds!

 Passaic Valley played a tough game and had chances to win in their 60-55 loss to Delbarton, but they didn’t have an answer for Senior Dean Brierley(right) and his 31 points and 12 rebounds and the big “triple” late in the game by Senior guard Wade Morgan( 10pts,4asts)! Nick DiCristina led the Hornets with 18 points and 3 steals! Dave Clough finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds while Olumide Onajide added 8 points and 10 rebounds! 

 

 

                 Passaic County Tech  66          Bloomfield Tech 45 

 

Sophomore Isaac Williams scored a career high 23 points as P.C.T. took it to Bloomfield Tech 66- 45!     

Passaic Valley Shocks Eastside 66-50!

Little Falls……. Right now, Passaic Valley is playing as good as any team in Northern New Jersey as witnesssed by the dismantling of a talented Eastside H.S. 66-50! The Hornets controlled the game from the opening tap and flat outplayed the Ghosts! Junior Olumide Olajide(right) was the energy kid of the night, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds while Senior Dave Clough(bottom right) added 16 points and 6 boards and Senior Tom Gaccione scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds! Eastside never got their fast break going in the game as Valley kept the pace methodical! They also outrebounded the Ghosts 30 to 15! The Ghosts got 21 points from Junior DeAndre Noble and 16 from Senior Dave Burgos! Many of their points came when the game was already decided!
