Passaic County Tech Downs Don Bosco Prep 75-69!

Wayne……..The guard play proved to be the difference in a 75-69  Passaic County Tech win over an always tough Don Bosco Prep team! The quartet of Senior’s Brandon James#1, Xavier Nieves#2, Junior Assaad Hinton and Sophomore Isaac Williams#3 keyed the attack as they put pressure on Prep’s guards and continually were on the attack mode offensively! All scored in double figures, led by James 21 points! Nieves finished with a strong stat line with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals! Williams had 13 points, while Hinton finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals! Tech went on a 7-0 run to start the 4th quarter 61-53, but Prep, behind the play of guard Jamel Mosley(17pts,4asts), Selwyn Maxwell(17pts,4asts), Paddy Quinn(15pts,5treys) and Leonte Carroo(9pts,7rebs) came roaring back! The game wasn’t decided until Williams hit a few free throws late and Prep missed a couple! 6’5 Shaquille Scott was strong underneath with 12 rebounds!

Passaic County Tech Blows Out Ridgewood 72-45!

Wayne………Passaic County Tech started with a 13 to 2 run and never looked back, as the Bulldogs rolled the Ridgewood Maroons 72 – 45! Tech had contributions from everyone in this contest as Junior Aazaad Hinton(pictured) led a balanced attack with 12 points and Senior’s Xavier Nieves and Brandon James added 11 and 8 points respectively! the most impressive aspect of the game was the play of Tech’s three Sophomores! Wahlik Watson scored 9 points and had 4 dimes while Hassan Towns had 8 points, 7 rebounds(3 offensive) and 2 steals and Isaac Williams was the quickest player on the court, harrassing Ridgewood defensively and scoring 7 points with 5 steals! Tech gets a tough one Thursday against Don Bosco Prep, who played Bergen Catholic tonight! Ridgewood was led by Junior Alex Cohen with 11 points and 6 rebounds while Evan Bartlik added 10!
