PASSAIC COUNTY TOURNAMENT: HAWTHORNE DEFEATS PASSAIC 65-50!

Hawthorne, N.J…. In a wild ending Hawthorne defeated Passaic 65-50 in a Passaic County Tournament game!

It was a 2 point game going into the 4th quarter 37-35 with Hawthorne and Passaic going back and forth a questionable call that resulted in the fouling out of Passaic star Jamir Thomas escalated into pushing on the floor and when the dust had settled Hawthorne was given 8 technical free throws which were all made by Junior Dallas Hoffman(right) who finished with 25 points! It put a damper on an otherwise competitive contest! Senior Kendale Butler scored 14 points and pulled down 8 rebounds for Hawthorne, while Senior Ramon Mariano added 12 points, including a big “triple” late in the game! Thomas led Passaic with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Senior Quasim Wilson added 15 points and 6 rebounds! Hawthorne will play at Kennedy next weekend!
