Passaic County Tournament : Paterson Catholic Breezes Past DePaul 79-38!

Paterson…………….. Junior Myles Mack(pictured) had a sore ankle which he got in the Midland Park game yesterday so it wasn’t known how effective he would be. Let’s just say everyone should have a bum ankle! Mack led Paterson Catholic to a 79-38 win over DePaul Catholic scoring 23 points, 17 in the 1st half when the game mattered, with 6 assists and 5 steals. Mack scored an assortment of ways getting layups and hitting on 4 treys. He was the leader,but was not alone as P.C. showed why they are ranked #6 in U.S.A. Today Super 25 highschool poll. Seton Hall recruit Fuquan Edwin finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and 6’9 Junior Derrick Randall added 10 points and 4 blocked shots. 6’7 Sophomore Kyle Anderson filled the stat sheet up with 7 points,7 assists,6 rebounds, 3 blocked shots and a steal and 6’4 Senior Jermaine Peart added 8 points,including a couple of highlight dunks. The 1st quarter was 19-10 Paterson Catholic,but before you could blink P.C. was up 29 at the half 45-16. DePaul got 11 points from Senior Matthew Miller and 8 points from Sophomore Davon Jacobs. Paterson Catholic will now meet Kennedy H.S. in an effort to win the Passaic County Tournament three straight years.
