PASSAIC COUNTY TOURNAMENT: PATERSON EASTSIDE BEATS MANCHESTER 64-39!

Paterson,N.J…. For two quarters Manchester hung tough with Paterson Eastside, but the second half proved to be another story! Eastside outscored Manchester 42-21 in the stanza to win 64-39 in the quarterfinals of the Passaic County Tournament!

Junior Nhaz Smith led the scoring with 21 points and the play of Sophomore Lamar Johnson, Senior Terra Gatling and Sophomore Yoheily Ortiz who scored all their combined 22 points in the 2nd half! Johnson made two clutch “triples” that proved dagger like for the Ghosts! Eastside’s defense caused numerous turnovers and created leak outs for uncontested layups! Senior Terel Griffin led Manchester with 9 points and Senior Alex Morales played an all around game with 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots! Gatling pulled down 10 rebounds for Eastside who will face Kennedy next Saturday!
