PASSAIC COUNTY TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL: PATERSON CHARTER BEATS MANCHESTER 59-55!

Paterson, N.J….. Paterson Charter strong first half led them to a 59-55 win over Manchester!

Charter lead by as much as 19 points in the 1st half, but a bank shot three from Manchester Sophomore Asim Jones at the buzzer to end the 1st half cut the lead to 36-22! His shot gave Manchester momentum as they came out strong to start the 3rd  and cut the lead to 42-37 at the end of the stanza! Charter took control early in the 4th behind Junior Jamir Bellfield, Senior Caleb Ruffin and Senior Troy Medlock, but driving layups from Sophomore Jashair Rosa and missed free throws gave Charter a reason to sweat it out down the stretch! Senior Marquis Harris led Charter with 15 points, 13 in the first half, Senior Sadiki Miller added 12 points and Bellfield(pic) chipped in 11! Jones led Manchester with 19 points! Paterson Charter, the #2 Seed will face #6 Seed Eastside next Saturday at Kennedy H.S. at 3:00pm!
