Paterson Catholic Starts Defense Of County Chip With 85-56 Win Over Pompton Lakes!

Paterson……….. Paterson Catholic started it’s defense of their County championship by cruising past Pompton Lakes 85-56. The game was never really in doubt, although there were moments where the Cougars looked disinterested which resulted in some sloppy play for U.S.A. Todays #8 ranked team. Junior Myles Mack (pictured )led P.C. with 14 points and 3 steals. Paterson Catholic went deep into it’s roster as everyone got minutes. 6’9  junior Derrick Randall   (12pts.,6rebs ) 6’6  freshman Reggie Cameron (11 pts.,5rebs, 4asts) and 6’4 senior Davon Daniels (10 pts.,3blks.) were the other double figure scorers in the game. 6’7 Sophomore Kyle Anderson was his regular stat sheet stuffer as he contributed 7 points,6 rebounds,6 assists a block and a steal in limited time. Pompton Lakes held their own in the 1st quarter trailing only 22-18, but PC took over the rest of the way. Pompton was led by Greg LoPorto’ s 16 points and 12rebounds. Larry Gelok and Chris Sudol each finished in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively.
