PATERSON CHARTER HOLIDAY CLASSIC: UNION CATHOLIC WINS HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT!

Paterson Charter Paterson, N.J…. The Paterson Charter Holiday Classic Tournament came to it’s conclusion and saw Union Catholic defeat Teaneck to win the Championship! Pope John and Passaic County Tech also won!

In a entertaining contest, Union Catholic held off a game Teaneck squad to win the “Chip” 76-71! Senior Jaheim Tanksley led the way for UC with 18 points and Senior Justin Archer made his season debut after a knee injury and looked good as he scored 15 points and pulled down 7 rebounds in limited minutes! Tournament MVP Nahshon Battle finished with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Junior Matt Tracey added 11 points for UC! Teaneck was led by Freshman guard Dasean Lecque who finished with 19 points and Senior V.J. Johnson who scored 17 points and dished off 6 dimes!

 

 

                                                               POPE JOHN  68        PATERSON CHARTER  50

Sophomore DiAndre South(right) scored 29 points with 10 rebounds to lead Pope John to a 68-50 win over Paterson Charter! Senior Eddie Davis scored 14 points and dished out 6 assists before fouling out early in the 4th quarter! Charter made charges throughout, but Pope always stayed in control! Senior Bashir Byrd led Charter with 15 points and Junior Sidiki Miller added 11 points!

 

 

 

                                             PASSAIC COUNTY TECH  55     NORTH BERGEN  30

Senior Joshua Combs scored 12 points and Senior Toknowa Thomas(right) added 11 points, dished out 4 assists with 3 steals as 11 players scored for Tech in their dismantling of North Bergen! Tech had a 46-15 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter!
