PATERSON CHARTER WINS FIRST EVER COUNTY GAME!
Paterson Charter H.S. Paterson, N.J…. The Paterson Charter has put themselves on the Passaic County Basketball map! Paterson Charter defeated West Milford 64-53 to win their first County game in the school’s three year history!
Junior Dazmir Staton(left) led the way with 18 points, 4 assists and 3 steals! Junior Jahki Clarke(right) added 14 points, 3 assists and 3 steals! West Milford led at the end of the 1st quarter 16-11, but The Charter came back in the 2nd quarter, as they finally took the lead at the end of the stanza when Clarke assisted on a layup to Junior Jason Thobourne to take their first lead 34-33, then Senior Richard Warren beat the buzzer as PC went into the half, leading 36-33! They never lost the lead the rest of the way! Warren finished with 10 points, while Sophomore Omar Morrison came off the bench and made a huge contribution in the game scoring 6 points, pulling down 7 rebounds and playing solid defense in the lane! Senior Nick DeAngelis led West Milford with 13 points and 6 rebounds! Paterson Charter will now face Passaic Valley next week, as for the first time it will be playing in the second week of the Passaic County Tournament!
