PATERSON REC. JUST JUNE LEAGUE: IMMACULATE CONCEPTION WIN “CHIP”!

Don Bosco Tech Academy, Paterson, N.J…. The Paterson Recreation “Just June” League came to it’s conclusion with three hard fought games to determine the 2017 Champs! In the end,  Immaculate Conception came away with the “Chip”!

Rising Senior Jalen Carey’s 18 points led a balanced Immaculate scoring attack as they had to withstand a 7 “triples” 31 point game from Rising Junior Doug Edert and outlast Bergen Catholic 64-62 in the Championship contest! Rising Sophomore Zion Bethea scored 14 points, Rising Junior De’Journ Cook added 11 points, Rising Sophomore Elijah Hutchins-Everett scored 10 points with 9 rebounds and rising Sophomore Raejon Figures chipped in 9 points with 5 assists as Immaculate led by as much as 18 points and held offd a valiant comeback from Bergen Catholic! Rising Junior Jayson Earle added 10 points for Bergen! Immaculate reached the finals behind Figures(middle), who scored 24 points with 6 “triples” in defeating Don Bosco Prep 64-49 in the Semifinals! Hutchins-Everett added 13 points for IC! Don Bosco was led by Rising Senior Ron Harper who scored 18 points! Bergen reached the Finals as Edert(near right), who was lights out all the entire day scored 27 points and Rising Senior Michael Koch added 14 points to hold off Newark Eastside 52-49! Rising Senior Jihad Jenkins led Eastside with 19 points!
