PATERSON REC/PLAYAZ BASKETBALL FALLBALL LEAGUE: IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, BERGEN CATHOLIC, HACKENSACK AND RAMAPO WIN!

 Kennedy H.S. Paterson,N.J… The Monday Paterson Rec/Playaz Basketball FallBall League had good ones with Immaculate Conception, Bergen Catholic, Hackensack and Ramapo all got wins! Immaculate Conception usually play their FallBall games on Wednesday but because CBA could not make it they were the replacement team against Mater Dei! Immaculate stared sluggishly as they fell behind by as much as 17 points! But the Sophomore duo of Jalen Carey(right) and Justin Winston(left) changed all that as they came all the way back and defeated Mater Dei 59-55! Carey finished the night with 21 points, including making big free throws down the stretch and Winston added 19 points! Mater Dei was led by Junior Elijah Barnes with 17 points and Senior Nyke McCombs with 12! Junior Taj Benning(mid right) scored 19 points and Junior Ray Cortes added 17 points, making 5″triples” to lead Bergen Catholic to a 56-37 win over Newark Tech! Senior Mustafa Lawrence led Tech with 16 points! Sophomore B.J.Saliba(bottom right) scored 11 points and Sophomore Toran Portee added 10 points to lead a balanced Hackensack attack as they edged Eastside 45-43! Senior Charles Powell and Junior Al-Jumu Johnson each scored 13 points to lead Eastside! Senior Matt Latka(bottom left) scored 24 points to lead Ramapo to a 44-39 win over American History! American History was led by senior Yvens Monfleury with 22 points!
