PATERSON REC/PLAYAZ BASKETBALL MONDAY FALLBALL LEAGUE: EASTSIDE, MATER DEI, BERGEN CATHOLIC AND NEWARK TECH WIN!

Kennedy H.S. Paterson,N.J……. The Monday Paterson Rec/Playaz Basketball FallBall League took place tonight and had Eastside, Mater Dei, Bergen Catholic and Newark Tech pull off victories! Senior Charles Powel(right) scored 14 points and Junior Nhazir Smith added 12 to lead Eastside to a 51-47 win over Christian Brothers Academy! Eastside played very well on the defensive end as they contested C.B.A.’s perimeter shooting and caused them to shoot poorly from the floor! Senior Pat Andree led C.B.A. with 10 points! Senior Kyle Elliot(left) scored 16 points and Junior Elijah Barnes added 12 to pace Mater Dei to a 49-32 win over American History! Senior Yvens Monfleury led American History with 15 points! Junior Ray Cortes(bottom right) made 5″triples” for 15 points and Junior Taj Benning and Junior Gabe Stefanini each added 11 to lead Bergen Catholic to a 60-46 win over Hackensack! Freshman B.J. Saliba led Hackensack with 16 points and Senior M.J. Richardson added 13! Newark Tech came from an 11 point deficit to overtake Ramapo 35-34! Freshman Jihad Evans only points of the game proved to be the game winner as his putback closed the scoring with 7 seconds left! Senior Mustafa Lawrence(bottom left) led Newark Tech with 14 points! Senior Matt Latka led Ramapo with 13 points!
