PLAYAZ 17’S GET BACK ON TRACK IN EYBL PLAY!

502Houston,Texas…..Going through an emotional time with the shocking loss of Playaz Basketball Club’s 15u player Armoni Sexton, the Playaz EYBL team took four straight losses on their last trip in Lexington, Kentucky! But, in Texas the Playaz 17’s seemed to have righted the ship as they went 3-1 for the weekend and put themselves back into the running for a EYBL Peach Jam spot! The Playaz started the weekend out by taking it on the chin from the Georgia Stars 87-68 as Trent Forrest scored 22 points and Udoka Azubuike added 17! James Scott led the Playaz with 13 points and Myles Powell and T.J. Gibbs added 12 apiece! Saturday they broke their 5 game losing streak by getting by the Alabama Challenge 75-72 as Powell led the way with 18 points, Jagan Mosely(pictured) scored 17 points and  Gibbs added 15 points! Jamal Johnson and John Petty Jr. each scored 16 points for Alabama! Later that evening the Playaz beat City Rocks 66-64 as Leondre Washington’s running banker gave the Playaz the win! Gibbs led the attack with 25 points and Washington and Mosely each chipped in 13! Arnoldo Toro led City Rocks with 17 points! The Playaz got out of there with win #3 on Sunday by squeaking past Howard Pulley 60-56 as Mosely led the way with 21 points! Brad Davison led Howard Pulley with 18 points! The Playaz head to Minneapolis, Minnesota with a 6-6 record as they will play E1T1, CIA Bounce, Southern  Stampede,  Kentucky Travelers and Team Takeover to see if it will be enough to get into the Top 25 and a Nike Peach Jam invite!
