PLAYAZ 8TH GRADE WIN TRI-STATE/ JORDAN BRAND TOURNAMENT!!

Abyssinian, Manhattan, NY… The Playaz 8th grade basketball team went into New York City and impressed by winning the Tri State/ Jordan Brand Tournament! The Playaz were ready from the start as they beat the Brooklyn Badgers in the semifinals and won the”Chip” by defeating The NYC Gauchos! The Playaz were led in the first game by their “Bigs” Armoni Sexton and Justin Winston and the “Chip” was controlled by their guards Ja’quaye James, Jahvon Quinerly and Tavon Jones(left)who was voted the MVP! The Playaz also got contributions from Mikey Watkins, Tyson Etienne and Jamir Lattimore! The Playaz team showed superior athleticism and quickness as their pressure defense proved the answer in both contests! This team is worth keeping an eye on as they will be competing in a number of events in the Tri State area!
