PLAYAZ TAKES PROGRAM CHALLENGE 4-2 OVER NEW HEIGHTS!

Don Bosco Academy Paterson, N.J……. The Program Challenge between the Playaz Basketball Club and New Heights AAU resulted in entertaining play by each team which had the Playaz winning 4 out of 6 games played by their respective age groups! The event was put on to help the newly formed Armoni’s World Foundation which is a new Charity in tribute to the late Playaz Basketball Club star Armoni Sexton! The 6th, 8th, 9th and 11th grade squads pulled off victories while New Height’s 7th and 10th grade squads got wins! Notre Dame commit Temple Gibbs(pic left) scored 23 points, Myles Powell added 21 points and Jagan Mosely chipped in 14 as the Playaz 11th grade squad defeated New heights 86-75! Sid Wilson(pic with Gibbs) led Heights with 20! The 10th grade game saw Donald Flores(right) score 17 points and Isaiah Washington had 14 points as Heights pulled off a 61-60 win! Marcus McClary(right) and Lance Singh each scored 14 for the Playaz! Marquis Nowell scored 18 points, Tavon Jones(lower right) finished with 16 points and Ja’Quaye Jones added 15 points as the 9th grade team and Sexton’s old Playaz teammates routed the Height’s squad 72-48! Omar  Silverio(lower right0 had 10 points for Heights! Ashton Miller scored 18 points, Nas Anos(lower left) had 15 points and Nashawn Battle finished with 14 as the Playaz overcame a 24 point performance from New Height’s Precious Achiwa(lower left) to win 79-73! Kander Rice added 16 points for New Heights! The 7th grade game saw  Jordan Crucey(bottom right) score 31 points and Marcus Burnett add 21 points to help New Height’s defeat the Playaz 72-68! C.J. Wilcher(bottom right) scored 27 points and Noah Oliver added 15 points to lead the Playaz! The Playaz 6th grade team won 57-52 behind 16 points from Yamire McCord(left) and 14 points from Tamir Johnson! Christian Davis led New Height’s with 20 points!
