PRIMETIME SHOOTOUT: TRENTON CATHOLIC, ST.BENEDICTS AND THE PATRICK SCHOOL WIN!!
Roselle Catholic, N.J…… Gardenstatehoops made it down to Roselle Catholic and caught the last three Primetime Shootout games as Trenton Catholic, St.Benedicts and The Patrick School all came away with wins!
TRENTON CATHOLIC 66 HUDSON CATHOLIC 57
Junior Myles Powell(right) scored 25 points and McDonalds All-American Malachi Richardson(left) had 19 points as Trenton Catholic led by as much as 20 and with stood a Hudson Catholic comeback to win 66-57! Powell scored 12 of his points in the first half and Richardson had 13 of his points in the stanza to take a 37-19! Hudson Catholic came out cold and didn’t get on track until the 4th quarter where they cut the lead to 7 with 1:21 left in the game! It was too little too late as Senior guard Marcus Floyd went 7 of 7 from the foul line down the stretch to squash the attempt! Freshman Jahvon Quinerly led Hudson Catholic with 12 points while Senior Marion Williams finished with 11 points!
THE PATRICK SCHOOL 73 EWING 69
Small Ewing H.S. led by Temple commit Trey Lowe came to slay the Giant in the Patrick School and gave itself every chance, but the Patrick School, led by Sophomore’s Jamir Harris(left) and Nicholas Richards(right) would not allow the upset as they held on to a 73-69 win! Harris scored 23 points and Richards scored 12 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked 7 shots! His 6 straight points, including a dunk and put back gave the Patrick School a six point lead after Lowe had tied the game at 57! Junior Bryce Aiken scored 8 points with 8 assists, while Junior Cyril Langevine scored 9 points with 8 rebounds and Sophomore Marcus McClary added 9 points and 5 boards! The Patrick School needed every contribution as Lowe and his teammates made them sweat! Lowe(far right) scored 22 points with 6 rebounds,4 assists and a steal who were led by Junior Herbie Ellis with 24 points! It was the first loss of the year for Ewing!
ST. BENEDICTS 76 RIVERDALE BAPTIST(MARY.) 57
Sophomore Trevon Duval scored 18 points, Sophomore Nate Pierre-Louis(right) added 16 points and Senior Eli Cain(left) chipped in 14 points as St. Benedicts outscored Riverdale Baptist 24-7 in the 3rd quarter to pull away to a 76-57 win! The score was close at the half with Benedict’s leading 34-31, but the 3rd quarter eruption sealed the win! Senior Dequon Abrams had 11 points for Riverdale!
