PUBLIC VS PRIVATE RESULTS: RAMAPO, TEANECK , BERGEN CATHOLIC, PARAMUS CATHOLIC AND LAWRENCEVILLE WIN!

 

Dwight Morrow Englewood, N.J…. Gardenstatehoops covered the second day of the Englewood H.S. Public vs Private event! what we got was Ramapo, Teaneck, Bergen Catholic, Paramus Catholic and Lawrenceville all pulling off wins!

 

 

                                                                               RAMAPO  66     DON BOSCO PREP  62

Ramapo has put itself on the top as far as Northern New Jersey schools! After a surprising win over St.Joseph-Montvale, Ramapo faced Don Bosco Prep and again came out on top! Senior Matt Latka was the catalyst in the win over Prep! Latka scored 27 points and hit constant clutch shots late to lead Ramapo to the win! He needed every bucket as Don Bosco Prep and Brown commit Brandon Anderson was a capable challenger for Ramapo as he answered back with clutch buckets of his own in scoring 23 points! Senior Ryan Curtiss and Senior Chris Gordon scored 9 apiece and hard working Senior guard Joe O’Hagan added 8 points with 6 assists! Sophomore Marcellus Earlington added 14 points for Prep , while Senior Omar Mostafa chipped in 10! Latka and Anderson were voted players of the game!

 

 

                                                                    TEANECK  60    ST. MARY’S- RUTHERFORD  45

Junior Juwaun Daniels scored 18 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and dished out 5 assists and Sophomore Ja’Quaye James and Senior Gianni Bannerman each chipped in 14 points as Teaneck beat St.Mary’s 60-45! Teaneck led most of the game as they shared the ball and found wide open looks throughout the game! Sophomore Marc Dadika led St.Mary’s with 15 points, Senior Tim Klarmann added 14 and Junior Nassir Walker chipped in 10! James and Klarmann were voted players of the game

 

 

 

                                                                          BERGEN CATHOLIC  78   UNIVERSITY  67

In a tough contest,  Junior Taj Benning scored 22 points and Junior Gabe Stefanini scored 18 points to lead Bergen Catholic to a 78-67 win over University! Junior Mason Foreman scored 15 points for BC! University got 24 points from Senior Zamir Wright and 21 from Senior Tariq McKenith! Stefanini and Wright were vote dplayers of the game! 

 

 

                                                                     PARAMUS CATHOLIC  58   DWIGHT MORROW  44

Senior E.J. Anosike scored 15 points and pulled down 17 rebounds to lead Paramus Catholic to a 58-44 win over University! Senior Landon Gaines added 14 points and Senior Ty-lyn Johnson finished with 11 as Dwight Morrow scored the first 8 points in the 1st quarter to start the game, but PC had taken the lead at the end of the quarter! Paramus Catholic gradually built the lead throughout the game and never were threatened! Dwight morrow was led by Sophomore George Garrison with 19 points! Anosike and Garrison were voted players of the game! 

 

 

 

 

                                                        LAWRENCEVILLE  69      BERGEN TECH  51

Junior Edward Wingfield scored 14 points, Senior Jordan Harris and Sophomore Daniel Klosk each scored 12 points as Lawrenceville defeated Bergen Tech 69-51! Sophomore’s Andrew Yoon and Harrison Nicholas each scored 13 points for Tech! Lawrenceville led by as much as 24 points in the contest! Harris and Yoon were voted players of the game!
