SMITH LEADS EASTSIDE TO 57-48 WIN OVER KENNEDY!

Eastside H.S. Paterson,N.J… The game was quiet in the 1st half as Eastside and Kennedy both looked lethargic! Someone from either squad had to put their name to the game.. That someone was Junior Nhaz Smith!

Nhaz(pictured) scored 22 of his game high 28 points in the 2nd half on an assortment of layups and floaters! Smith made 4 straight buckets after Kennedy took a 27-25 lead on a “triple” by Senior Jordan Rodriguez to regain the lead they would never relinguish again! Eastside took a 13-4 lead to end the 1st quarter! Kennedy then won the 2nd quarter 14-6 as the half ended with them down 19-18! Nhaz took over in the next two quarters! Kennedy’s star Alphonso Gee led Kennedy with 18 points, including 4″triples” and Sophomore Jaylen Colon added 10 points! Senior Terra Gatling scored 7 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and blocked 3 shots!
