ST.JOSEPH REGIONAL OF MONTVALE WINS DOWNTOWN SPORTS H.S. SUMMER FINALS!

Mahwah, N.J………The Downtown Sports H.S. Summer Finals hosted by the Gym Ratz was played over the weekend and consisted of Wayne Hills, St. Joe’s of Montvale, Saddle River Day, Hackensack, Englewood, West Milford, Ramapo and Promise Academy of Harlem!

The games were competitive all weekend and at the end Promise Academy and St. Joseph stood in the Finals! That’s where St. Joe’s established themselves as the team of the weekend as they finished the job with a 57-31 romp in the finals as rising Senior Andrew McGuire led the way with 20 points! Joe’s were impressive as they looked to be a team that will have plenty

of talent and depth! Besides McGuire(pictured) who was voted Tournament M.V.P Senior Sean McKinless, Junior Nate Garvey and their talented Sophomores of Chauncey Hawkins, Isiah Charles and Isaac Hippolyte all had solid weekends! St. Joe’s will be an interesting watch this upcoming season! 

 

 

NOTE: Coach Ozzie Osbourne did a great job on short notice of putting this Tournament together! And the teams that were involved came to play and they went hard! Ozzie and all the teams should be commended!!!
