ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL WINS OVERTIME THRILLER OVER DON BOSCO PREP 66-62!

004Montvale, N.J…… St. Joseph Regional came from behind to beat rival Don Bosco Prep in Overtime 66-62!

Junior’s Daniel Lans(far right) and Albert Serrano(right) keyed a spirited Joe’s comeback as Prep led most of the contest,but J003oe’s battled back! Prep led by as much as 14 in the first half and took a 28-17 lead at the half! St. Joe’s speeded up the game in the 2nd half and pressured Prep until they tied the game at 44 all on a “triple”from Senior Dyree Rogers early in the 4th quarter! Don Bosco’s Senior Myles Ruth was up to the challenge making key passes and buckets down the stretch as the game went back and forth the rest of the stanza until Lans two free throws sent the game into overtime at 53! Lans and Serrano took over the overtime with the help of Senior Nazir Williams as they combined for the 13 points in the extra session! Serrano iced it making a freethrow then rebounding his miss for a layup to give the final score! Williams led Joe’s with 16 points, while Lans had 15 and Serrano scored 14 points! Rogers chipped in 11 for Joe’s! Ruth led Don Bosco Prep with 20 points and 8 assists and Senior Brendan Mykalcio added 17 points for Prep!
