ST.MARY’S DEFEATS TENAFLY 60-47!

St. Mary’s H.S., Rutherford,NJ….. Junior Tim Klarmann scored 23 points and Junior Naseer Walker added 18 points and 8 rebounds  to lead St.Mary’s to a 60-47 win over Tenafly! Klarmann(right) went an impressive 11 for 13 from the foul line as St.Mary’s, which constantly went to the basket to draw contact shot 24 for 32 compared to 5 for 9 for Tenafly! After a slow start to the game in which St.Mary’s took a 8-2 1st quarter lead, they took control in the 2nd quarter to lead 28-12 as Walker(left) finished the half with 12 points! The 3rd saw Tenafly wake up behind the shooting of Senior Amit Yona who scored 11 points in the quarter and cut the lead to 7 at one point in the quarter! But no other Tenafly player besides Junior Blake Berne could find their touch in the second half and St.Mary’s again took control! Junior Amir Hicks played a good floor game for St. Mary’s as he scored 6 points and dished out 5 assists! Yona finished with 17 points for Tenafly! Berne and Jake Spadaccini each scored 9 points!

 

NOTES: Gardenstatehoops was saddened by the lost of St.Mary’s best player, Senior Dino Braduric! In their last game, Braduric tore his ACL and will be out for the season! Gardenstatehoops wishes the best for Dino on his recovery!
