T.O.C. FINALS: ROSELLE CATHOLIC PREVAILS OVER POPE JOHN FOR TITLE!!

Sun National Center Trenton,N.J….. At the end of the 2014-15 Highschool basketball season the most talented team in the State stood alone as Roselle Catholic became the Tournament Of Champion title holders with a 57-45 win over Pope John! They have now held the title 2 out of the last three years! Throughout the season Roselle Catholic has been led by Kentucky commit Isaiah Briscoe and tonight was no different as he led the way with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals! Briscoe scored 17 of his points in the 1st half as Roselle Catholic held a 31-19 lead! Freshman Nazereon Reid proved that he is ready to take over the mantle piece for R.C. as he was their secondary scorer in the contest scoring 12 points and causing all kinds of havoc in the front of Roselle Catholic’s 1-3-1 fullcourt press! Senior Chris Silva who has committed to South Carolina finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds and Junior Matt Bullock was a rebounding force with 12 boards! Pope John was led by Syracuse commit Moustapha Diagne with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots, Junior Jeromy Rodriguez with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Junior James Scott with 10! Pope John can hold their heads high after having a tremendous season and Roselle Catholic can take pride in the fact that they carried these high expectations all season long and even though they at times bent, they never broke!
