T.O.C. SEMIFINALS PREVIEW: ROSELLE CATHOLIC VS PAULSBORO AND POPE JOHN VS NEWARK TECH!

Today the Tournament Of Champions Semifinal will take place as Roselle Catholic faces Paulsboro and Pope John takes on Newark Tech

 

 

ROSELLE CATHOLIC VS PAULSBORO—- Roselle Catholic has gone most of the season as the top team in the State and if things go the way they should, they should win this game! But R.C. has also shown vulnerability as their losses to Linden twice and getting down by 20 to both St.Mary’s(Elizabeth) and Trenton Catholic proves! But when they are at their best no team is better! They are led by the best player in the State in Kentucky bound Isaiah Briscoe who relishes the limelight and is capable of taking over a game! South Carolina bound Chris Silva, Junior Matt Bullock, Monmouth recruit Pierre Saar, Senior Taahir Pretlow and Freshman stud Nazereon Reid are the other key players for R.C. as they all could be lead players on another squad! Silva is key to their interior scoring! Paulsboro has been very impressive and has thrown away that their from south Jersey tag as their blowouts over University and Bergenfield will attest! This team is good! They are led by Seniors Theo Holloway, Saleem Little, Brandon Hamiton nd Deshaun Burgess plus Junior John Pellegrini ! Little had a big game against Bergenfield with 29 points and Holloway is their best player! Paulsboro can also come off the bench with skilled players with Cherron Quarles and Tyrique King leading the way!

Prediction: Paulsboro is good and capable and must not be slept on, but Roselle Catholic has been here before and their experience in big games should provide them the win! Silva must play big!

 

 

 

  POPE JOHN VS NEWARK TECH:  This should be an action packed game between two talented teams! Pope John is led by Syracuse bound Moustapha Diagne! He is dominating but will have to stay out of foul trouble! Junior James Scott is their primary scorer and Senior Jeromy Rodriguez has taken his game to another level! Senior Damien Rance is a big time shooter and Ray Montilus runs the show! Fordham bound Max Zignorski is so unselfish he has chosen to come off the bench so Pope john does not miss a beat! Newark Tech is led by Junior guard Mustafa Lawrence and Junior Jordan Zagadou and they fear no one! Don’t let their 13 losses fool you! They have played everyone! Senior Walker Wilson and Seniors Jurod Page and C.J. Webb gives them talent at every position!

 

Prediction: This game should go down to the wire s o it’s a pick em game but the feeling is the play of Rodriguez will help lift Pope John to the win!
