016The Tournament Of Champions Semifinals takes place Thursday at The Pine Belt Arena in Toms River, New Jersey! Their are four teams left in the State as Teaneck takes on St.Anthony and Linden goes against St. Augustine!

TEANECK- The Highwaymen have peaked at just the right time and are prime to compete at a high level which is what they will need to be to face the toughest opponent they will ever meet! We will see if they ready for the test! That means Sophomore Ja’Quaye James and Junior Jawaun Daniels(right) must play at a ridiculous level for them to be there at the end! Because to be there at the end against St. Ant’s they will have had to play their “A” game! Senior Nick Whitaker, Junior Adrian Baucom and Senior GeAni Bannerman all are capable of competing in this game! They are battle tested! Role players Jahlil Kure, Corey Gordon and Kyle Lawrence are also fit to be primed for this game!

ST. ANTHONY– St. Anthony spent the last three years trying to reestablish themselves as the dominant New Jersey team! After losing to Roselle Catholic for the last three years, they finally came back to power this season getting the Non-Public B “Chip” back! Senior Jagan Mosely, the Georgetown commit(right) is the leader of this strong St.Anthony unit! Junior R.J. Cole, NJIT commit Shyquan Gibbs, Senior Javarious Hayes, Senior Idris Joyner, Junior Daniel Mading and Senior Asante Gist will lead St.Anthony back to prominence! We will see if they are the St. Anthony of the past!

LINDEN— Linden has the pedigree! They are built for this kind of pressure and season because of th021e monster schedule they have played! Led by Sophomore Tavon Jones(right) Linden probably wasn’t expected to be this good but became a cohesive team that is reminiscent of their past teams! Senior William Phelps and Senior Khalief Crawford are the other two mainstays! Junior Joey Krempa, Senior Fritz Moncion, Junior Abraham Kromah and Junior Marcellus Livingston are all key ingredients, but the improved play of Junior Tafari Lowe has taken Linden to another level! The key will be the team defense that Linden is known for!

ST. AUGUSTINE— St. Augustine was as impressive as a team can be in their win over Don Bosc022o Prep! American University commit Sa’eed Nelson(right) is as good and as fast a player as their is in the State! Junior Justyn Mutts is an athletic big who is versatile and a Division 1 prospect! Sophomore Marlon Hargis and Junior Walter Harvey are nice players that can knock down shots and get to the rim! Junior Austin Kennedy is a lights out shooter and this game against Linden should be a special matchup!
