004Hackensack,N.J…..In a highly contested game, with high intensity Teaneck beat Hackensack 75-65!

Teaneck’s dynamic duo of Junior Jawaun Daniels and Sophomore Ja’Quaye James were as good as advertised as Daniels was a force with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocked shots and James was a problem scoring 19 points, dishing out 6 dimes with 4 steals and a huge “triple” when Hackensack clawed it’s way back after being down by as much as 15! As well as Teaneck’s two stars played the contribution of Junior Adrian Baucom and Senior Geanni Bannerman was just as important! Baucom(left) scored 14 points with 4 assists, while Bannerman(right) added 12 points and 5 rebounds as they kept Hackensack honest by making shots when extra pressure was applied to Daniels and James! It looked like a long night for Teaneck due to the hot shooting of Hackensack Senior M.J. Richardson! Richardson scored 15 in the 1st half, including 3 long “triples” but Teaneck did a great job defending him in the 2nd half, holding him to only 4 free throws in the stanza! He still led Hackensack in scoring with 19 points! Senior Edward Emedoh added 12 points and 7 rebounds, Sophomore Razeyah Surrell chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds and Sophomore B.J. Saliba finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds! James made a three from 35 feet to end the first half and give Teaneck a 41-40 lead! Teaneck pushed the lead to 64-52 advantage at the end of the 3rd! Hackensack would not quit, cutting the lead to as little as 6 but Teaneck behind Daniels and James maintained their edge and held the Comets off!
