“THE WEEKEND” CHAMPS: ST.ANTHONY!

Caldwell University, N.J….Live Presents The Weekend Tournament came to it’s conclusion with a very good final that pitted St.Anthony and Hudson Catholic and in the end St.Anthony squeaked out a 58-57 win!

With all the talent on display in this Tournament the shining star belonged to St.Anthony Rising Senior guard R.J. Cole! Cole scored 29 points in the championship game to lead St.Ant’s! St. Anthony led at the half 32-26! Trailing 34-31 Hudson went on a 9-0 run to take a 40-34 lead, but St.Ant’s went on a 10-2 run of it’s own to take the lead 44-42! Rising Sophomore Alex Rice finished with 17 points for St. Anthony! Hudson was led by Rising Junior Jahvon Quinerly with 17 points and Rising Junior Louis King finished with 16 points! Cole(left) was voted the Player of the game and also the Tournament MVP, while Quinerly(right) won the Sportsman award! St. Anthony reached the “Chip” by coming from behind to defeat The Patrick School 67-65 as Cole scored 26 points and Rice added 15! The Patrick School was led by Rising Senior Jamir Harris who scored 24 points, including 6 “triples” and Rising Senior Marcus McClary with 17 points! Hudson reached the Championship game by defeating DeMatha 68-40 as Quinerly scored 16 points and Rising Junior Luther Muhammad added 15! Rivals #42 for 2017 D.J. Harvey led DeMatha with 14 points!
