TOC QUARTERFINAL: TEANECK DEFEATS WEST SIDE 71-62!

019Toms River, N.J…… Teaneck had five player’s score in double figures and shot 31 for 43 from the foul line as they defeated West Side 71-62 to win their TOC quarterfinal matchup! 

Teaneck’s balanced scoring gave the Roughriders problems! The Highwaymen were led by Sophomore Ja’Quaye James(right) with as he scored 17 points with 5 assists, but contributions from his teammates kept West Side off balanced! Junior Jawaun Daniels scored 15 points with 7 rebounds, Senior Nick Whitaker finished with 15 points, 9 boards, and 4 blocked shots! Junior Adrian Baucom added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Senior GeAni Bannerman chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds as Teaneck’s team effort was as good as they got all season! West Side was led by Senior Isiah Reyes with 22 points, Junior Quayon Williams-King added 15 points and 11 rebounds and Junior Yasim Hooker finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds! Teaneck trailed only once in the game 21-18 and held West Side off by making 21 of 32 second half free throws! Teaneck will face St.Anthony Thursday at 5:30pm at The Pine Belt Arena, Toms River!
