UNION COUNTY TOURNAMENT SEMIFINALS: PATRICK SCHOOL AND LINDEN TO MEET IN “CHIP”!

Kean University, Union,N.J….. The Union County Tournament pitted four of the Top 4 schools in the state in The Patrick School, Roselle Catholic, Linden and St.Mary’s! At the end of the night The Patrick School and Linden will see each other Saturday at 6:30pm at Kean for the Union County “CHIP”!

Kentucky bound big man Nick Richards(far right) scored 10 of his 13 points in the 4th quarter as The Patrick School outscored Roselle Catholic 26- 14 in the final stanza and went on to a 55-46 win! Richards added 8 rebounds to his effort! Senior and Minnesota commit Jamir Harris scored 9 of his 12 points in the 2nd half and Junior Vladir Manuel(near right) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for Pat’s! Junior Nazreon Reid led Roselle Catholic with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Temple bound Nate Pierre-Louis added 9 points! The game was hard fought and intense as every point was a battle, but The Patrick School finally found some breathing room late in the 4th!

Junior Tavon Jones(center) scored 17 points, Junior Marcellus Livingston(right) added 16 points and Junior Mikey Watkins(near right) chipped in 12 points to lead Linden to a 49-38 win over St.Mary’s! Linden trailed 4-0 then never trailed again in the contest! Linden’s defense was a problem for St.Mary’s throughout! Sophomore Papie Roberts made 3″triples”and scored 9 points and Junior Jay’von Jackson also chipped in 9 points!
