UNIVERSITY GROUP 1 NORTH CHAMPS!

East Orange Campus, N.J….  Senior Zamir Wright, Murad Banks and Tariq McKenith combined for 45 points to help University defeat Verona 59-47 and become the Group 1 North Champions!

Wright(right) finished with 17 points, 13 coming in the 2nd half! Banks(left) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and McKenith(middle) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists! University opened it up in the 3rd quarter finishing on a 10-0 run to take a 45-32 lead at the end of the stanza! Junior Travis Jocelyn led Verona with 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Junior Jack Farrell added 9 points and Junior Zach Zaccone chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds! University will face Paulsboro at Rutgers on Sunday for the State Group 1 “Chip”!
